Have you seen this happen?

Post by Vwtattoo » Mon Feb 25, 2013 5:04 pm

Hey all- thanks for the great forum and codes- every little bit helps, as you all know.

So, I mostly play on my iPad, and they recently updated the software to now offer Tournament play, which is fun and frustrating at the same time. But the other day something weird happened.

I was in the midst of a Tournament, and it Lost Connection, something which annoyingly happens a lot. I clicked OK to reconnect, and it signed me in as someone else. Weird, to say the least. But, the account it logged me in with had 3,081,xxx,xxx chips in it! How the heck does someone get 3 BILLION chips in this game?? I count myself lucky to get more than the customary $15,000 chips on the daily spin, let alone to have more than 100 Million, which only happens after I break down and purchase chips.

So, I closed the app and reopened it, and my account was back to normal. Thievery isn't my style, but I was sorely tempted to find a way to scarf some chips!

So, has this happened to anyone else, where it somehow signs you in as someone else? It concerns me a bit, wondering if someone else can sign in as me, and use up my hard won/ bought coins...

That is an issue with the way their phone app handles sessions. I have seen 3 billion before it is not as uncommon as you might think. 100 million is not really that much either. I got to 900 million a few times playing holdem. You will never get that by playing strictly slots. Slots are programmed to lose :)

I know what you saw was real, but I doubt that even if you played as that account it would affect anything. Eventually it would have kicked you off and you would have signed into your own account as there would have been a facebook ID/session mis-match.

Can happen on any site. I have seen it happen on other games I play.

Cool, good to know it was just a glitchy thing, but still kind of concerning.

Thanks!
